Benefits of MSPAS/MPH program??

Recommended Posts

I have always been interested in Public Health and it would be a great opportunity to attend a dual program.

However are there actual pros to having a dual masters as a practicing PA?
What are the benefits?
Is there a pay raise associated with a dual masters?

Cons:
Extra year of Schooling
Extra year of Tuition

Sorry accidently posted this here, also posted this in Pre-PA forum, not sure if this is the right place

many govt jobs pay more for an mph.

also gives you a backup career as there are stand alone jobs in public health totally apart from your PA.

certainly helps with teaching, but the main reason would be if it interests you. I am getting a doctorate and don't see it ever making me more money than full time clinical practice. I am just really interested in the subject material.
