meowmeow
I have always been interested in Public Health and it would be a great opportunity to attend a dual program. However are there actual pros to having a dual masters as a practicing PA?What are the benefits? Is there a pay raise associated with a dual masters?Cons:Extra year of SchoolingExtra year of Tuition ---Sorry accidently posted this here, also posted this in Pre-PA forum, not sure if this is the right place
Moderator EMEDPA Posted September 4, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 4, 2014 many govt jobs pay more for an mph. also gives you a backup career as there are stand alone jobs in public health totally apart from your PA. certainly helps with teaching, but the main reason would be if it interests you. I am getting a doctorate and don't see it ever making me more money than full time clinical practice. I am just really interested in the subject material.
