Quick Question on Repeat courework

Recommended Posts

I know that CASPA calculates everything regardless of repeated coursework, but does this make a difference when colleges look at my coursework??

I noticed CASPA changed some of my course work that i labeled as repeat to regular. For example i retook College algebra from

College A- College Algebra MAT-130 (3 credits)  (2001)

College B- College Algebra MAT-11  (4 credits)  (2014)

Its the same course description and both are from community colleges

and i also noticed that they labeled a Psych class i retook one has the "repeat" course work the other labeled as "regular"

i know i labeled them correctly when i submitted my file.

and another thing, i also noticed that they changed a Computer class from Other science  to a math- and apparently CASPA labels any computer course work as math.

I already Emailed CASPA. so just curious, and kinda surprised of some of the changes.

I think to be considered a repeat course it needs to be retaken at the same college.

Got a response

Thank you for contacting CASPA. The Algebra courses taken at Mount San Antoniio and Riverside City are both labeled “Regular,” because only

those classes repeated at the same institution should be labeled “Repeat.”

Thus, by that rule, CASPA labeled your General Psychology course at Mount San

Antonio incorrectly during verification. Thank you for bringing this to

our attention. We have fixed the problem.
