Meghan Sharp Jurgaitis
Hello. I am wondering if I should retake me GRE, or if it's better to just get my application in more promptly. My score was a Q:151 V:155 writing 4. My schools all say 50th percentile (Q was 45th). Retake or just apply? I have a 3.67 GPA, just shy of 8, 000 hrs hce, and some shadowing. Thanks! WIPA-C
Honestly, I don't think that you should retake it. Most schools require candidates to have 300 combined or more. However, if you have the money, and think you can score higher than your current score then retake it.
HighlanderPrePA
If I were you I would submit now. The change in your application with a little increase in the GRE is not going to be huge with the rest of your competitive profile the way it is. Especially if your schools are on rolling admission. zoopeda
Most schools, I notice, don't even want the GRE. Of those who do (that I contacted), all of them claimed the GRE is the least significant part of the application. If I were you, I'd call or email the schools you're interested in. As far as I can tell, 10 points isn't going to make or break your interview invitation (at least at any of the schools I've looked into). Good luck!
