OpSite
Hi all! I'm really excited to have been offered a wonderful position (pending passing PANCE, of course). It'll consist of quite a broad scope of practice and I'd like a couple books rather than all online resources for a couple topics: Pediatrics (the text from school is pretty basic) Emergency Medicine Surgery (a how-to detailed guide for first assisting in general surgeries rather than Surgical Recall) Infectious Disease Any suggestions? PACdan
Um, this job sounds awesome! What kind of setting is it? (Sorry, no idea on the books, haven't started yet) Sent from the Satellite of Love using Tapatalk

OpSite
Cmdt Thanks much! I'll check it out. I'm assuming it's more user-friendly than Harrison's?

winterallsummer
Yes cmdt is much more user friendly than Harrison not to mention cheaper. It's a good mix of clinical application and pathophys. Tintinallis emergency medicine manual is a nice quick reference for emed and urgent care. I would get those two and then use Internet as well (upto date , medscape epocrates)
