Primary Care in Today's Society

Recommended Posts

Actually in KY the PA lobby is doing something.  Our current bill has passed the senate and the house  - to reduce co-signatures down from 100% (within a reasonable amount of time - which was interpreted as "immediately" by hospitals - therefore they refused to take our orders unless co-signed) to 10% within 30 days.

We are far far far behind the NP's here and are hurting.  But it is a start.   Last year the PA lobby got rid of the 18 month direct supervision upon graduation.   We have new lobbyists and new KAPA leaders that are working hard.

We have a long way to go to catch up to other states.

Yes, NP's are independent here which hurts KY PA's even more.
