love.triathlon
This summer I will be taking my last prereq (genetics). If I apply with not having that course finished will it hurt me? Any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
wannabePA-S
The answer to this question is dependent upon the schools to which you are applying. Some of them want any prereq course to be finished with your final grade on transcript by the time you apply. Others are ok with sending in a final trasncript once your course is completed. Call the school and check or just look on the website. You don't want to apply to a school who requires all prereqs to be completed prior to you submitting CASPA because that would be a waste of money and a guaranteed rejection. Also something else to think about it genetics is not a prereq for every program. Do you mind me asking where you are applying?
S Brake
I had two classes left when I applied. One school didn't like that and didn't give me an interview because of it, even thought their website says it's ok. The program I was accepted to didn't mind that I had those two classes remaining. IDrunner11
I am currently taking genetics and I will be starting school in May. I was accepted under the conditon of passing the class with a B or better. If you have the rest of your pre-requisities and the rest of the application and HCE you are fine :) Best wishes. greenmood
As the school that is requiring genetics as a pre-req. Many schools will say applying with a couple outstanding pre-reqs is fine, but others want them all completed.

knic
Yes, you should definitely be okay. I applied to a few of the Nova programs and received interview invites from them despite still having to take genetics, biochem, and physio the fall after I applied. knic
Awesome thank you! How did your interview go? Thanks again You're welcome! I ended up just attending one interview, at Ft. Myers (I'm from OH and didn't want to pay for more airfare). It went well, but I decided not to attend there.
