swooshie1
What happens if a PA program fails to secure a rotation for a student? Has this ever happened to anyone?
marktheshark89
Per the standards "Students must not be required to provide or solicit clinical sites or preceptors. The program must coordinate clinical sites and preceptors for program required rotations." This applies to all accredited programs.
swooshie1
Thanks, I read the standards. But this doesn't answer the question - school goes on probation? student doesn't graduate on time? these seem like the no-brainer outcomes, but I'm just wondering if anyone has actually gone through this, and what the experience was, outcome, etc.
Administrator rev ronin Posted January 17, 2014 Administrator Share Posted January 17, 2014 I've known people who had to be a few states away on short notice because something fell through at the last minute--once because the preceptor was in a serious car accident--and my program made it work and worked with the student as much as needed to get them where they needed to go.
