singinscooby Posted September 12, 2013 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Hello all, My name is Melissa, and I am a recent graduate of a PA program and have also recently passed the PANCE. I'm very excited to finally call myself a PA-C, however I'm not quite sure what to do with myself while I await for licensure. I've applied in IL and TX for now, until I figure out where I want to live. The Texas board isn't even meeting until late November to discuss our applications, and IL will probably take 2 months as well. Ideally, I'd love to live in Austin, TX, but for now, I'd like to find something temporary in IL. I am sure you can't practice as a PA yet without a license, but I would love to do SOMETHING in healthcare, even if it's volunteering. I'm in the Chicagoland area, if that helps.
