Lemon Bars
Some PA programs I want to apply to require a letter of recommendation from a practicing PA, MD or DO. I work at a hospital, somethings in the ER, but I'm fairly new and the doctors don't know me. How can I get the letter of rec that I need? My other health care experience did not involve working with doctors.
G. Davenport
Just ask. They will say yes or no and should base the letter on what they have seen of you. They should address how long they've known you in the letter.
kepicsdm
I actually didn't have any letters from an MD or PA. One of my letters was from a CRNA that helped get me a job with some health care experience who worked closely with PA's. See if there is someone you can find that works closely with a PA that can speak to your potential in that field who has a good understanding of what it takes to be a successful PA so that they can integrate your personal attributes and how they make you a great candidate for a program!
