SAFAAN
Hello all, I go to Stony Brook University and from my first year here I have come to know that many, and I mean MANY people here are PRE-MED. And for those of you who do not know, SBU's science classes are very tough as compared to other schools where its science classes are not as hard. Now I know for Premed, it is a good idea to go to a school like SBU as it will help one do well on the MCAT. However, for PA schools in NY, very few schools, of the ones I want to attend, do not require the applicant to take the GRE. So I was wondering if GPA and experience is what is mostly weighted upon admissions, then is it a better idea to go to a mediocre school and have a high GPA (3.6-3.7) or stay at SBU and have a lower GPA (3.0-3.2), since the requirement of standardized testing is not considered?
