DMaistre
So question, If I took the GRE and did well on the writing portion, can I skip it the second time if i just need improvement on the verb and quant? I paced myself horribly during the 1st math and verbal sections and it ruined my scores, 150 and 147 respectively. My writing score is fine 4.5. Is it okay to just skip the writing portion for my second take? I just want to improve my math and verbal scores and I dont want to waste brain time on the writing. TarheelGirlx3
As far as I know you have to take the whole thing over.
DMaistre
but I would send them all my scores, 1st time with writing and the second without. They cant use the writing from 1st time?
TarheelGirlx3
Usually theyll use the highest of each section anyways whenso you take it more than once..but you still have to take the whole thing over

DMaistre
So the pa admissions director on this forum said it shouldn't be a problem, I'm waiting to hear back from two others I emailed. Anyone else have any insight?
