Nucmed
Since I'm finding mix reviews and after trying both I still can't decide I figured I ask here ! I've been using B a master cardiology and it's getting old so I figured I buy a new stethoscope . I liked the Welch Allyn bcz it sounded amplified and littman 3 is well known so does anyone have any suggestions ?
Joelseff
I used to use the Welch Allyn Harvey Elite (similar to the DLX I think) it's an excellent stethoscope. I was forced by my work to use an electronic amplified stethoscope because I suffered a hearing loss (I have the Littman 3200) but to tell you the truth, I hear almost as well with the Harvey. I think you can't go wrong with either. The only things with the Welch Allyn was it came with a shorter tube. I changed that out and it was perfect. The head is also a little heavier than the Littman. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
Nucmed
Thank you very much ! Yah I'm leaning toward Walch Allyn as well it's just everyone has littman and I'm not sure why haha .
sk732
I was a Littman fan for years...then switched to ADC since the scopes are as good, but much less expensive. Good selection on Amazon. SK
Nucmed
My school sells the Welch allyn at $175 ( 340 on Amazon ) that's why I was looking into it . Are ADC less expensive ?
sk732
They must be - that's what my hospital supplies us if we need/want a new one. My health region is cheap. Last three I bought were less than $200...one I just bought (a "tactical" Classic III clone) was $30 + shipping. I'm waiting for a Cardiology II-III clone from MDF Canada that I got for $150 ish. I got an upgrade actually because the blacked out model I wanted wasn't available. SK

SHU-CH
Unless you are Austin Flint reincarnated, the difference between the two is probably more theoretical than practical. You can't go wrong.
sk732
My MDF ER Premier just arrived in the mail...it's heavy enough to brain someone with - always something useful in a stethoscope for ER use :-D. Test drive is tomorrow. SK
