DoTheEvolution
I've been told by at least two long-practicing PAs recently to be sure the schools I apply to offer master's of science upon graduation and not master's PA studies. In a nutshell, what is the big difference/advantage? Sorry if this topic has been addressed recently, too. ...

Corpsman2PA
Some have MS vs. MPAS (Masters in PA Studies) right? I don't think it makes a difference. I'm sure there's subtleties within each degree, but it only means a whole lot for those that really want it to.
Andreasmo
http://www.physicianassistantforum.com/forums/showthread.php/33788-MMS-versus-MPAS-degree To sum up, there is no difference.
winterallsummer
MS requires an additional paper (typically some research project) and presentation. No difference otherwise that I am aware of. And this extra paper doesn't mean much if anything.
beattie228
6 in one hand and a 1/2 dozen in another IMO. What a program calls their Master's Degree doesn't really come up in conversation. PA-C is the endgame goal and MS or MPAS isn't anything to lose sleep over.
