I took my GRE in 2006 october25th. And I got 310 in verbal and 380 in quantitative ,all together 690 in GRE ..did I apply with this GRE score or do I need to take GRE because the GRE I took was five and half years old ..can I apply that old GRE..will the universities accept my old score..please help me regarding my questions, thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
marktheshark89 Posted April 5, 2013 Share Posted April 5, 2013 You absolutely need to take it again, and do substantially better (if you are applying to schools with GRE requirements). On the old GRE, many schools required somewhere between 1,000 and 1100 combined to be competitive. On the new GRE the standard cutoff for many schools is around 300. Also, GRE scores expire after 5 years, so unfortunately you would have to retake anyways, even if you had a great score. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
