PAcee
Hi all, I have to wait several months for the credentialing process before I start my job. In the mean time I have been considering doing some locum tenens jobs. I talked to a few recruiters and told them I would need either MD or PA on location and what type of positions I feel comfortable doing. They said other new grads have done locum tenens, but I was wondering if anyone would recommend a new grad doing locum tenens work? Or should I just find a different temporary job, like being a waitress, for the time being. I need a job of some sort... Thank you.
RRivas2004
I'm in pretty much the same boat. I am also afraid to start a job and have to explain why I left after two months.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted March 5, 2013 Moderator Share Posted March 5, 2013 if you can find a locums job with double coverage and the potential for learning then go for it. many locums jobs are solo coverage and not ideal for a new grad.
