SarahChil Posted February 25, 2013 Hi! I am applying for admission into the class starting January 2014. I have spoken with one of the program administrators Marsha LaCovey. She looked over my transcript and she said I have a great GPA and I meet all of the other requirements. The only thing I could do additionally would be to increase my PA shadowing hours. Does anyone else have any admissions advice? I have a 3.5 GPA that Pitt calculated based off of their pre-reqs, I was told they don't use CASPA's science GPA. I also have a 3.3 undergraduate cumulative GPA.
marru Posted July 11, 2013 Hi Sarah, I have also applied to Pitts U. PA . I have an interview on August 22. Please keep in touch if you have any other information.
donandjeanine Posted July 11, 2013 Hi Sarah, Did you simply calculate your GPA based on their published pre-reqs, or did they supply that info to you?
SarahChil Posted July 23, 2013 Author I contacted Marsha LaCovey (program administrator) at the end of January when I was researching their school. I sent her my transcript and we spoke about my application. She gave me that GPA calculation, and it was based off of their published pre-reqs. That is the "science GPA" that they look at!
