  1. Thanks for your feedback! Ideally, I don't want to spend anymore than $500-600 on a new laptop. I'm interested in HP brands if you know anything about those. I'm not looking for a laptop loaded with features. Just something that I can do my schoolwork on, and store pictures. Preferably with Microsoft Office already installed!
  2. I'm looking to get a new laptop for school. I don't want to spend too much money on it. Just a good enough of a computer to get me through two years of school. Any suggestions?
  3. Does anyone remember if the titers they needed drawn for school were covered by insurance?
  4. I got accepted as well!! Congrats everyone! Are you all accepting your offers or waiting to hear from other schools?
  5. I also interviewed on July 25th, and haven't heard anything! The nerves are really kicking in!
  6. Thanks for your encouragement! I applied to Saint Francis, Lock Haven, and Penn State. I have an interview at Saint Francis in October, and I'm still waiting to hear about interviews from the other two schools.
  7. It's been a little over two weeks since my interview! I'm starting to get anxious to hear about something! I hope that we hear before the full 4 weeks is up!
  8. Pitt's website lists the rest of the interview dates. I believe they even have an interview session as late as December. When I visited Pitt I was told that they will interview about 140 candidates.
  9. For anyone traveling down for an interview I would not suggest staying at the Days Inn in harmarville. I had originally booked a room there for my interview and when I showed up it seemed unsafe, the bed felt like a sofa sleeper, and it was not clean. I ended up booking a room at a Comfort Inn (RIDC PARK exit). The room was very nice, and only about a 5 minute drive to the interview sit. Just a heads up!
  10. I contacted Marsha LaCovey (program administrator) at the end of January when I was researching their school. I sent her my transcript and we spoke about my application. She gave me that GPA calculation, and it was based off of their published pre-reqs. That is the "science GPA" that they look at!
  11. Hi Everyone! I am interviewing on Thursday as well! I am extremely excited but also nervous! Don, I saw that you have family in the Clarion area...I graduated from Clarion! I love it there! Hoping that everyone can find time to relax while using these last few days of prep!
  12. From a provider standpoint what are some opinions on the Affordable Care Act?
  13. I am preparing for an interview at the end of July with my top choice school. I am a second year applicant, however, it will be my first time applying/interview with this school. I am definitely anxious about the interview because it is my second time around, and this is my #1 school. What is the best advice you can give me on preparation? I did have an interview at one school last year, but looking back on it I can tell that I wasn't nearly as prepared as I should have been. Thanks for taking the time to answer all of these questions. It's great to get advice from someone that is on an admissions committee.
