medic25 Posted February 19, 2013 Unfortunately this is not a unique case; there have been numerous similar cases in the past. I was an author on a case report a few years ago with a similar problem. The patient was found in a cold tub of water after a suicide attempt. He was pronounced dead by the fire dept., only to be found to have a pulse hours later by the ME's office. He ended up surviving with full neurological function.
