PANCE preparations

Recommended Posts

Hello All:

I am currently preparing to take my pance exam at the end of this month. I have primarily been using the Emory board review course and the AAPA/PAEA book. I have been using exam master and the Kaplan q bank for questions and i find both to been far more difficult that previous packrat exams. Scores so far are:

exam master (11 exams): ranges from 55 - 90% (average 72.5%)

kaplan (3 exams): ranges 72 - 73% (average 72.5%)

packrat x 2: >60%

What else should i be doing for preparation. Are the above scores good enough?

Thank you for any information and tips.

You are going to be fine.

Remember as you do Q's to focus the way the NCCPA tells you to: CV, Pulm, GI and either ortho or OB (if you like ortho, study ob/gyn; and if you like ob/gyn study ortho)

EENT is one most people don't bother reviewing, but it is almost 30 questions!

and therapeutics is almost 20% -- so study CV drugs, neuro/psych drugs and antimicrobials!!

Your scores are good enough to pass. One more hint --- do NOT study what you like (we all ready about what we like :)

Best of luck!
