risktaker Posted November 19, 2012 Share Posted November 19, 2012 I am deciding between Oregon Health and Science University and UC Davis. Which program would you guys recommend? I am not sure what area of medicine I want to practice in after graduation. I have yet to hear back from 10 other schools I applied to. The only other schools that I would consider would be Duke and Midwestern University in Arizona. Assuming I do get into Duke and Midwestern. Would you guys choose OHSU over Duke, Midwestern, and UC Davis? I do want to practice in California after graduation. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. hiiamalysha Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 If i had an option I would go where I want to practice because I have heard from every PA that i shadowed that after school you may be asked to take a position by places you did clinical rotations in. skyfall Posted December 7, 2012 Share Posted December 7, 2012 I'd choose UC Davis similar to hiiamalysha's reasons. Also I went to UCD as an undergrad and I love the campus, environment and town. I have a friend who attended the program and she loved it and she got a job due to her rotations. Plus, everyone in Cali knows what a UC is and I think that would help out with job-seeking!
