Applied on 7/31. Invited for interview on 8/30 via email for 9/22.

Stats:

PCE: 1100 hours as CNA and psychiatric MA

HCE: 120hrs via internship with a medical director and undergraduate rural medicine program

GPA: cum: 3.86 science: 3.79 non-science: 4.0

Iowan resident

Shadowing: 45hrs w/ family med PA

Volunteering: 320hrs at a special needs camp and various other activities 

Degree: Biomedical Science Major (2 semesters of Ochem, 2 semesters of physics, 1 semester of Biochem with lab, and cell and molecular biology) 

Letters of Rec: 2 science professors, 1 family med PA, and 1 medical director

Update: Received rejection email today. They had already accepted 15 students when I interviewed on 9/22. Just a heads up for other applicants.

Anyone know their cohort size? I saw online they take a max of 40 but looking at pictures it’s more like 15-25

When I interviewed, they said their “sweet spot” was 25-30.

Thank you!! My heart dropped when you said 15 have already been accepted but that makes sense if they’re halfway through the process and have half of their class

It’s also good to keep in mind that some of the accepted applicants might give up their seat if they’re accepted elsewhere! Stay positive!
