kmspac611
Hi, I am interviewing for a PA faculty position and am needing to present a 25 minute lecture on a PANCE topic of my choice. I am choosing PCOS as it has both personal and professional significance. I do not have formal teaching experience, but have been working in a college health clinic for close to 6 years and have had many teaching opprotunities through outreach programs and student education. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experience with this lecture part of the interview, what you felt worked for you and what you could have done better. Thanks! ohiovolffemtp
I've used this approach in many lectures I've taught at the undergrad level and for EMS: Review the relevant physiology Review the relevant pathophysiology and how it gives rise to: the s/s the patient's report the physical exam finding i.e. the body's compensatory mechanisms Review the diagnostic work up - tie it to the pathophys Review the treatment - how it addresses the pathophys
trazodone
It would be particularly impressive to the faculty if you had learning objectives that were linked to bloom's taxonomy: ex: Recognize and describe the signs and symptoms consistent with polycystic....

This is what was covered, in part, in my recent doctoral level instructional methods course.
