tristatecoog
My daughter is a junior in college and just got a C in Genetics and may get a C+ in O-Chem. How strict are PA programs about Cs in science courses? Is it best to retake these classes to "eliminate" the Cs, and also better learn the material, or just apply as is? UGoLong
Repeating a grade gets you both grades on your application, and for the purpose of computing your average. So a C followed by an A results in a B for averaging purposes (with 2 times the number of credits since you took the class twice). The bigger question is what is her overall science average. If it's very high, a C or two might not make a big difference. Hope this helps.
