TWR
I have a 58 y/o female who was on meds for overactive bladder. She had varying success but never 100%. However when she was additionally placed on Phentermine 37.5 QD (Adipex) for obesity she had no further issues with occasional urine "leaks". Her urologist said to stop the Toviaz and see what happens. She has not done that. Her BMI is 27 but she insists that the phentermine cured her urinary incontinence. This would take place during the day. She had surgical repair and on meds for years without success.
primadonna22274
Sympathomimetic...class effect. Definitely wouldn't want her on a 2nd agent as increased risk of urinary retention. It's off-label but as long as you watch her BP and she continues to benefit, seems reasonable to me.
yooperchica
I have had the same experience. Less urgency and almost no incidents of incontenence. I have been experiencing overactive bladder for about 2 years and this is the first time I have not been running to the bathroom 8-10 times a day.
