CASPA timeline help!

Recommended Posts

Hi! I am a little confused about when certain things need to be uploaded to CASPA. I am applying this upcoming cycle (April 20201) and I've started filling out the CASPA application. But my question is, can I have my transcripts sent over now to speed things up when the cycle begins or do I have to wait until its officially open (I want to say its april 27th or something like that) to do so. Also with my letters of recommendation, can I have them sent now or do I have to also wait until when the cycle is officially open. Thank you for whoever can answer my question!!

The LORs have to be requested after it opens. They will not transfer over (same with PS). I would have your LOR writers write it up and then copy and paste it when the request is sent through CASPA.

The transcripts can transfer to next cycle. CASPA takes about a day to transfer one apps information to the next year's application.

This MAY be different if you did not apply the 20-21 cycle so I may be wrong. I did in fact apply, but i would be safe and request the LORs after it opens.
