mp8104
New grad. I was offered a per diem position at the same company where I will be working full time as a hospitalist. The per diem rate is in surgery and less than my FT rate. What is an appropriate per diem rate in relation to your FT rate? In other professions, I have heard 1.5x your regular rate but does this hold true for PAs?
MediMike
Yes. No benefits = more $$$. Although some centers just pay a flat rate based on years of experience or some other proprietary algorithm. I'd think about it like overtime, if I'm going to work more it had better be for lots of money. But I'm inherently lazy soooo....
