PACookies
Hi everyone, I got offered a position in an internal medicine private practice. It's outpatient 8:30-5 M-F. They offered 85k but I feel like that is too low. They said it's because of my lack of experience but that I'd be eligible for a raise and bonuses after some time. I've been looking for other positions for 2 months in various fields and this is the only one I've found so far that is receptive to a new grad. I want to counter offer but I'm not sure how much to ask. I don't want to scare them away. I was thinking of offering 95k and then lowest I would go is 90k. The position includes full benefits, including health care, 2 weeks PTO, malpractice insurance, and CME expenses. 401k would be offered after 1 year. Any thoughts on if this is a good deal or if I should ask for more? This is in a large city in Florida. Thank you!
marktheshark89
85k in florida for a new grad isnt a bad salary at all. If i were going to counter i’d counter with 90k especially if this is a job you are really interested in. I’d also ask for 3 weeks PTO.
MT2PA
That's pretty standard for FL.
