dcbuckeye
Hello Everyone, I work in a hospital setting and my employer currently has 2 Providers working on the weekend. In a few months we will have one Provider working the weekends and the second Provider will be “ On call” In case there is a call out. If I'm called I would receive my overtime rate, but there should be compensation for “ On call time”. None of the PAs/NPs in my group have worked a position where we took call so we don’t know where to start regarding discussing compensation. Where do we start? What have been some of your experiences?

kittykatufl
I get 15% of my hourly rate for being on call which only involves answering phone calls. Usually 1 or 2 a weekend.
