kwjxn
When you are at an interview for one program do you mention your status of your application at others, or is this a big no-no? Example: Do you bring up the fact that you are on the alternate list , or that you have been accepted to another program, but would rather attend this one? IdahoPA
I can't imagine they'd even ask something like that, and there's no real reason for you to bring it up. However, if they do ask, I'd be diplomatic: "I was accepted elsewhere, but I'm here today because I'm really interested in this program for these reasons." Good luck! greenmood
Why would you do that? I was asked at an interview what my status was... it was very late in the cycle and I had been accepted elsewhere. I think it's appropriate at that point to tell the truth without embellishment, and to emphasize that you are very interested in this program, which is why you are happy to be making the most out of the opportunity to interview. But bring it up? Why? The interview should be about you and that program, and your future as a student there.
