Experience Section

Recommended Posts

I noticed when filling out the Experiences section that much of the information requested is "optional." Is it in my best interest to include my supervisors' contact information? Do schools use this information to actually reach out to previous employers? Some of my supervisors are my letter writers, so this seems a little redundant. Has anyone found advice on this? Thanks!

In general, they do not actually screen the activities that you list. It's usually very apparent in the interview if you've overstated your experiences.

That being said, they definitely may inquire should something appear odd. I just took a peek at my application from last year. I only included a phone number for one experience - all the rest I just included an e-mail.
