UGoLong
Our local Facebook forum (here in Ohio) recently had a job posting for an NP: Nurse Practitioner Wanted ! Please spread the word !!! We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at Spine and Sports. If you know someone interested in practicing in a physical medicine, non narcotic, multi specialty environment, we are looking for the right person. No weekends, overtime, or on call needed. Just IM me or call the office xxxx. We will be adding this service ASAP in 2017! I suggested that he consider a PA too (not me: not my specialty or area of interest. I got back the following: We will have no on sight MD so they must be able to do procedures without immediate oversight. Oversight of OPT, trigger point injections, large joint injections. I think we both realize how complicated this can be. I appreciate your input !! I then let him know that, if he was comfortable with the skill of the PA, they could do these procedures even if he was offsite. We have a ways to go to educate physicians. newton9686
That sounds like an "office manager" to me. But who knows, people find new ways to surprise me every day.
sk732
I'm thinking it's the office manager or a head hunter - neither of whom have many synapsing neurons between the ears. IMHO of course. SK
UGoLong
It was the doc, as far as I can tell. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Marinejiujitsu
That's hilarious. I guess they haven't seen a new grad NP. Most I have met haven't done one single procedure before they graduated. I had one NP in the emergency room afraid to I&D an abscess on the scalp because she was afraid to penetrate the brain.
