Bodiggler
Part of a mock contract I was sent gave various ranges of RVUs and the bonus for each. This would be an annual bonus. Billable RVUs 2500-2,999 = $$$$ All the way to 4501 and over = $$$$$ Can anyone help me quantify how many patients or procedures it would take to get 4501 billable RVUs at an Urgent Care as a new grad? marktheshark89
The urgent cares in my area give 1$ per patient for rvu up to 100, 3$ up to 500, then 6$ after 500. This is on a monthly basis.
Bodiggler
I appreciate the info, but it does not answer my question. Thanks!
marktheshark89
Well if you assume a minimum 0.97 rvu per patient (99213) its a simple math equation. Its likely that your rvu per patient would be higher than this, but that would be worst case scenario. So figure 4500 patients at approx 1 rvu per patient. Around 90 patients per week if you worked 50 weeks per year.
