cfilak1
So I have 1,000 HCE hours. i'm going with a friend to europe from may 24th to june 28th. I will come back and work as an EMT full time after that. Should i wait until late july/early august and get a lot more HCE hours to apply or just submit my application before I leave? I'm really in between both. I have 40 hours shadowing, have a 3.65 sGPA and a 3.54 overall GPA if that helps.
HazeGirl123
I would go ahead and apply before you leave! The extra hours is not going to make that much difference if you already have 1000. It's more important to apply early
fflores98
Late July- Early August might be too late for some schools, particularly the ones who have rolling admissions as they conduct interviews as they receive applications.
GatorChomp
Apply EARLY and BROADLY. Seriously, the earlier you apply, the better your chances. Most programs operate on a rolling admissions basis meaning they review and interview students as the applications come in. When you apply early, you're competing in a shallower pool of candidates, there are more seats available and more interview slots meaning your chances of receiving an interview are higher than if you were to wait until July/August when the program has already filled 30% to 50% of their class. Your stats are competitive. Good luck!
