browndog Posted October 24, 2011 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Okay, for anyone who has interest in the EMCP program here is a quick update of my experience. I have one week left in the first semester of my EMCP program. (I am taking Tox/Derm and Environmental Medicine this semester.) I gotta say that I am "on the fence" with regard to my continuation in the program. Program consists of weekly online lectures, podcasts, clinical vignettes and Tintinalli readings. For what it is worth, the best benefit is being forced to methodically read Tintinalli's. There is a wealth of information to be found in those pages. Thing is....how much of it will I retain. I seem to best retain what I learn through clinical experience. Could be the subject matter this semester, but I am thinking that I may spend my CME and personal educational dollars elsewhere next year. We'll see.
