SCPAScrl
One of the required texts for our didactive surgery class is Essentials of General Surgery. (lawrence and Bell) (5th Edition) After looking at reviews It seems that everyone is frowning on this book... Is there an alternative to this book or does anyone recommend it? Does your program use a different book that might be somewhat better? Thanks! PA-S TN

Acebecker
I used essentials for rotations (night time study) and surgical recall for quick reference (it lived in my locker at the hospital). Both were good books, IMO. Andrew
delco714
Jen and Andrew are spot on. Get surgical recall (6 ed. most recent). For didactic and rotations. Amazing book! Truly a life saver
