vas113
I am wondering where I can find resources regarding medication error reporting for PAs? For example, I am interested in identifying some of the legal obligations if a PA administers an incorrect medication. I have had a hard time finding specific information on this forum and on JAAPA's website- it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could recommend where to look! NOTE: I am currently applying to PA programs... not a practicing PA without knowledge of this information!
Contrarian
Most of us write notes that deatail our findings that include the rational for the treatments we order. Then we write treatment orders or prescriptions that are actually administered by nurses or the patients themselves. Can't think of any/many instances where a PA would have a opportunity to "administer" a med-correct of incorrect. "Prescribe" a med incorrectly... yeah/maybe/rare... "administer" nahh.
