  1. Hello- I am a new graduate looking for my first job. I recently interviewed at a practice comprised of both chiropractors and DOs, who treat personal injury, MVA injury, and workplace injury patients. Almost all of their pts are referred from lawyers. I felt good about the position during the interview, but after talking with my family, I am concerned that I could end up possibly being involved in a shady operation. Does anyone have an opinion or experience with this? The concern was that pts could work with a lawyer and (possibly falsely or manipulatively) claim an injury, which would be evaluated by the medical practice. Then the information gained in the evaluation could be used to fraudulently file claims against insurance companies. I do not want to be involved with fraudulent activity in any way, and especially as a new graduate! Any advice or insight would be appreciated.
  2. I will be graduating from PA school this December, and am considering moving to CA. When I spoke with a recruiter, she said that employers in California will not consider new grads until they have at least submitted their state license application. Does anyone have experience with this? I will be taking the PANCE January 20th, and am trying to figure out what to expect regarding my potential timeline.
  3. I just got offered a spot to interview Feb 7th!!!!! I am ridiculously excited. Duke is my #1 and I was put on the 'interview waitlist'. I had pretty much given up, so I was extremely surprised! If anyone is feeling especially generous, feel free to PM me with any tips or advice! :=D:
  4. I also haven't heard anything at all after my interview... I will probably call today. I'm going out of the country for a week starting tomorrow, so I won't be able to get any calls.

  6. I feel like that means I'm rejected  Congratulations to everyone who was accepted though! And jmccue- a big congratulations! (I was the girl that interviewed with you at both Drexel and Baylor)

  8. I just called and was told that they would call everyone on the alternate list... That doesn't sound right to me, but does anyone know if that's what wait listed people should expect? Has anyone else got that answer? I couldn't get an answer as to what day they would call or any other details

  10. Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!! Do your last names happen to be at the beginning of the alphabet? :-/ i thought things went well during my interview but maybe I was wrong :-(
  11. For those interviewing- any idea on what you'll wear for both days? I normally wear a skirt suit for the actual interview (I'm a female), which is apparently on the second day. I'm in group B, so that will be Jan 14th. On the 13th, there is a general orientation, student panel, and 'informal gathering'. I'm not sure what to wear for that... maybe slacks and something like a nice blouse and cardigan? Since it says informal gathering, I figure we don't need to wear a suit the first day. Does anyone else have input on this?
  12. Yay! Just got the invite as well! Does anyone know why it is two days though? I'm coming from North Carolina, so I'll definitely be in need of a hotel recommendation! For reference, I submitted my CASPA at the end of July and secondary in September.
  13. Congratulations to those who have been accepted and invited for interviews! I just got an email today stating that I'm in an 'interview waitlist' pool. So basically, I could get an interview if someone cancels. I guess that's better than being rejected, but still seems like a somewhat strange outcome :ohnoes:
  14. Congratulations fgalas and natacha!! I'm worried that was the last of the interview invites, but don't want to call Wendy and ask. It would end up being something like, "can you go ahead and let me know if I'm rejected already? Thanks!"
