claytown Posted July 1, 2011 I am considering working at a federal prison, and I was wondering if anyone here can tell me the pro's and con's of their job. thanks much
Just Steve Posted July 1, 2011 telling of the cons in a prison system may violate HIPPA :-) (sorry, couldn't resist the lame joke) I will be following the thread with interest though...anecdotally I have heard a few healthcare providers report they really enjoy working in them. Great benefits, good pay, interesting cases and grateful patients. I was caught "off guard" (no pun intended) when they mentioned the grateful patients as I had assumed the clients would be a bit surly, but they prove to be hungry for any sort of humanity, there isn't anything much more humane than to ease pain and suffering.
EMSArtist Posted July 1, 2011 there is this thread http://www.physicianassistantforum.com/forums/showthread.php/31566-Vindictive-jailhouse-nurses?highlight=vindictive+nurses Be advised it contains heavy contributions from contrarian ;)
