I'm thinking about doing that,...although I wonder if the military accomplishes the same thing except you get paid and there's a different lifestyle obviously. Moderator EMEDPA Posted June 12, 2011 Moderator Share Posted June 12, 2011 The peace corps gives you a living stipend and a payment at the end based on term of service. not all peace corps assignments are medical. my sister did 3 yrs in the peace corps and loved it. if you do it for pa school make sure it is a medical assignment. wpatrick Posted June 12, 2011 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I returned from the Peace Corps in August after 2 years in West Africa. I was a community health and AIDS prvention volunteer.
