cop to pa Posted June 2, 2015 Share Posted June 2, 2015 To me, when their CASPA page says "strongly encourage", If I don't have it, I better be better qualified than every applicant that did do it. ThatStudentGalVal Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 My personal thought is that when you're given the opportunity to add breadth to your application through an "optional" diversity statement, you really should. Why waste the chance to show them another facet of your depth as a candidate? I went to an open house where the admissions director instructed us to use the supplemental narrative space for matching yourself as an applicant to their mission statement and values. That is how I've been tackling the supplemental applications this time around (and hopefully it'll be more successful than last year's attempt)! Good luck to all applying!
