This goes to show you the need for political expediency and finding solutions for caring for millions of Americans is starting to trump the long time political power nursing and physician organizations. The authors were using language AAPA is getting away from: supervision, delegation, and assistant. It is not as strong of a paper that the NGA has for NPs. But, like I said, it is a start for recognition and can be a springboard for state PA chapters to advocate for collaborative/autonomous practices and to reach practice equity with NPs in the NP freedom states.
