Lead PA compensation

10% above base salary + admin hrs. did it for 2 years. never again.

lots of 7 am mtgs after getting off work at 2 am. lots of responsibility with no real power except over the schedule. writing the schedule sucks. you always end up covering lots of holes as the final responsibility for covering all shifts is yours.

Sounds too much like just a glorified title. I've never heard of "Lead Physician" so why would we want to accept a title that makes us seem more like employees than colleagues.

never heard of "chief of staff" or medical director, dept of emergency medicine or chief of surgery? every hospital has them.
