I have most of my narrative written out, and while I write my desire to become a PA, as an advancement from paramedic, however I don't state why PA and not MD or RN. I think that it's important to explain why PA is the right fit for you—why other professions aren't right may be a way to bolster your explanation. In many cases, I think it shows that you didn't just decide ones PA because it was ones of the "10 best professions for..." or whatever. If you want to know if your PS works without the additional explanation, have someone read it (I'm available via PM).
