debert
I'm about to graduate my PA program and would like to keep my RN license active for various reasons. Apparently my PA education does not count towards continuing education according to my nursing board. For the RN's out there, does anyone know how many hours I will be awarded for newly being ACLS/PALS certified? I also have 10 CME credits through Medscape, mainly AMA credits, which I don't know if they will accept. I need a total of 30 CE hours by April 15. Anyone go through this and have any advice on how to fast track these credits, instead of spending a large amount of time to get just 1 credit at a time. Oddly enough, AAPA is an approved website by the nursing board to get CE credits for nursing, even though my PA education doesn't count. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -Scott RN, PA-S
Moderator EMEDPA Posted March 8, 2014 Moderator Share Posted March 8, 2014 do volunteer hrs count? if so you could do a few days at a free clinic and voila, 30 hrs.
