HMtoPA
Hi, I'm a newly-certified Navy PA getting ready to transfer to my first assignment, which will be with an operational unit. Is there any compelling reason to pursue state licensure? I don't plan on moonlighting, at least not during the next two years. In some ways, a state license just seems like a PITA - more money to spend every year, different CMW requirements to keep track of, etc. But at the same time, it seems weird somehow to not be licensed in any particular state, even though I know the military doesn't require it for federal practice. Any input?
Moderator EMEDPA Posted February 15, 2014 Moderator Share Posted February 15, 2014 most of the military folks I know on active duty keep their nccpa utd but don't keep a state license unless they previously had one and only need to pay fees q 2 yrs to keep it active.
