LS_USAF
Does a biostatistics course generally satisfy a statistics prereq? I'm specifically looking at an epidemiology and biostatistics course. Should I just check with each school before enrolling?

winterallsummer
Gotta check with the schools. I took "statistics for biology majors" which worked. Ugh I hated statistics. My advice is take whichever is easier unless you enjoy math. You do take some stats classed (surrounding EBM) in PA school so it helps to know a little bit. UGoLong
Generally it is biostats that they want you to have. It is to assist in any research you may do, as well as teach you the language that biological studies are described in. Kind of like engineers needing calculus. bjl12
Biostats would probably be better than traditional stats seeing how medicine is based off....biology
