VA Community Health Center position

A position has become available in my area for a PA at one of these facilities. Interestingly enough the position is actually filled by an outside contracting agency and in turn you are not an actual federal employee as I understand it. Due to the vesting interval of 10 years with the VA I'm not sure that this is a hindrance since the hiring company has their own benefits package/retirement (primarily interested in quicker retirement build up). The website for this facility says that it is primarily a wellness based clinic and does not appear to address long-term care issues. Anyone familiar with these facilities and care to provide some input? You DO get the fed holiday schedule!
