doc1235
I was doing some research on the LECOM bridge program. I saw that they have. 3 learning tracts: lecture; problem based learning; independent study. Does anyone know how many days per week the independent study pathway group needs to be physically on campus.

primadonna22274
ISP was renamed DSP (directed study). It's actually less "independent" in many ways than PBL and requires physical attendance sometimes for an entire system (cardio, neuro anatomy). I switched out of DSP because it was too hard for me to master the material in a week for a comprehensive exam and I found I am a much more auditory learner than I realized so I needed lecture to do really well on exams. Everyone has to be on campus for at least 3 hr on Wednesdays for OMM lab and lecture. Often DSP are physically required to come in an additional 2 days a week for meetings or exams. I have friends who lived in NY and Ohio but they had to be able to be in Erie tout suite if an extra meeting got called or rescheduled.
