Avalon
Good Morning, All, I'm at a bit of a crossroads here. I work part-time in family practice and part-time in OB/GYN (primarily GYN at present) and would like to expand my scope of practice in the area of obstetrics. This will not be possible in my current OB/GYN position, as deliveries not attended by my SP are attended by his CNM. I've considered one of the two currently available OB/GYN residencies (Montefiore) to better prepare and to become more competitive in the job market and wondered whether any of the PAs on the forum have completed the program and can share their experiences? Although very tempting, I cannot at present relocate to California to consider Arrowhead. Thanks so much.
Administrator rev ronin Posted October 5, 2013 Administrator Share Posted October 5, 2013 A PA I know who attended Arrowhead was frustrated with how OB-heavy their OB/GYN residency was--she was looking for a more balanced experience, so if that's what you really desire, it may be the one for you.
