julia_dodo
Hey guys: I am eligible to take PANCE from November, but I will probably not get my certification until 2014. This has created a dilemma for me on when exactly to take the exam. I'm really confused about when exactly the new 10 year cycle. Does anyone know if the 10 year recert cycle start from the day you take my PANCE, or the day you receive the certification? I e-mailed NCCPA but haven't got an answer..... woodsters
I went to a seminar at IMPACT on this subject and they said that the 10 year process starts at your recertification date, not the exam. So, as far as when the 10 year starts, it doesn't matter when you take the PANRE because it is only one part of being recertified.
waitingblessing
So it is switching from every 6 years recert to every 10 years? Did u search the exam website? I'm a rad tech and they post the new requirements on the exam/ licensing website.
woodsters
Anyone certifying/re-certifying beginning in 2014 will switch to the 10 year cycle. The exam (right now) can be taken in year 5 or 6 of the cycle. But it doesn't matter which year you choose because the determination of entering the new 10 year cycle is based on when your recertification is complete.
